GMO Ballot Initiative Training

GMO Ballot Initiative Training

The time is now to ramp up efforts and gather signatures to put GMO labeling (genetically-modified organism)  on the ballot this November!  Working with Right to Know Colorado GMO, Western Colorado Congress is sponsoring an in-person training this Thursday, June 10th, for members who want to circulate petitions and gather signatures.

With mainstream news coverage and legislation in Congress highlighting the issue of genetically engineered foods nationwide, GMO labeling is on the rise as a hot topic in Colorado communities and households. Join in this grassroots movement that is “based on the foundation that we have a basic right to know what is in our food and what we are feeding our families.”

This training is required for all petition circulators. We will have petition sections available at the training so you can get started right away!

When: Tuesday, June 10th  at  6:00 – 7:30 pm
Where: Natural Grocers, 2464 US Hwy 6 & 50, Grand Junction

Space is limited! Please RSVP here! For more information, contact Rachel Zatterstrom at the WCC office at (970) 256-7650 or rachel(at)westerncoloradoalliance.org.
