Let’s thank state lawmakers for movement on air quality!

With less than three weeks remaining in this year’s state legislative session, it’s vital that we tell our climate champions in the State House’s Energy & Environment Committee that we appreciate their support on a key piece of air quality legislation: HB23-1294. This bill would improve how our state officials respond to complaints of oil and gas operators being out of compliance with regulations. It would also take a step forward for Colorado to do its part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are driving climate change.

This legislation is heading to a committee that meets in the interim between legislative sessions and will be heard again next year. It’s important that we tell those who voted to move the bill forward that we appreciate their efforts to make bold strides toward climate justice, and that they can count on our support. Please take three minutes now to thank them for their work!
