There’s a new and easy way to help support our Alliance, and we wanted to make sure you knew about it.
ReFUND CO is a new state program that gives you an opportunity to directly support a local nonprofit of your choice with your state tax refund.
The process is pretty simple:
Decide how much of your Colorado tax refund you would like to donate to Western Colorado Alliance. Then enter “WESTERN COLORADO ALLIANCE” and our registration number (20023003581) in the “Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund” line on your state income tax return or tax software. Or just give this information to your tax preparer.
It’s quick, it’s easy, and it will help build healthy, just and self-reliant communities in Western Colorado!
You can learn more at the ReFUND CO website: refundwhatmatters.org.
We hope you’ll take advantage of this exciting new method of giving! Let us know if you have any questions.
Emily stepped up as our staff director in 2017, but originally joined our team as a community organizer in 2013. Born and raised on the Western Slope, Emily graduated from Colorado State University and then had the privilege of learning from and working alongside organizers in Central and South America as well as Appalachian coal country. They returned to their home state to protect the land they love and work with fellow Coloradans for a healthy, just and self-reliant future for our rural communities. Emily enjoys organizing, exploring the Colorado Plateau, country music and punk concerts with equal passion.
