The Colorado Legislature gavels into action!

On Monday, January 9, the 74th Colorado General Assembly gavelled into action, launching a 120-day journey that will see sweeping action on so many issues close to our hearts here at Western Colorado Alliance.

We’re currently tracking bills on youth mental health, oil and gas, and clean energy — with hundreds of new bills hitting the docket this week.

Our Legislative Committee will be on the beat tracking bills, ensuring legislation honors our Western Colorado values and priorities, and meeting face-to-face with our legislators under the Golden Dome.

Would you like to come with us on our 2023 Lobby Trip? You’ll get a rare glimpse of the Colorado legislative process behind the scenes, traveling up to Denver with other great Alliance members and diving deep into a legislative update with our lobbyist Sol Malick and myself, Political Director Joel Dyar. You’ll get a tour of the Capitol and meet face-to-face with lawmakers from Western Colorado and beyond to discuss our issues, hopes, and dreams.

We provide travel in group vans, accommodation, and meals. We’ll travel up on a Sunday from a rendezvous in Grand Junction, hold our Lobby Day on Monday with an evening party with special guests, and return home Tuesday morning.
